A new chapter for The Royal Oak in Perranwell Station

The Royal Oak in Perranwell Station has entered an exciting new chapter, as husband-and-wife team Jonathan and Hayley Dolby take on the much-loved village pub.

For Jonathan, the move feels like a natural progression. Having worked at the Royal Oak for the past seven years, and previously at the Norway Inn, he knows the pub, its people, and its place at the heart of the community. Now, alongside Hayley, he is looking forward to shaping its future while keeping its welcoming, traditional spirit alive.

Community is at the centre of their vision. The Dolbys want the Royal Oak to continue as a gathering place for locals, visitors, and families alike. This commitment has already been reflected in the pub’s refreshed decor. As part of their redecoration, Jonathan and Hayley have adorned the walls with vintage photographs of Perranwell Station, creating a warm reminder of the village’s story and its people. The images have quickly become a talking point, sparking memories and conversations among the customers.

With their blend of experience, passion, and community spirit, Jonathan and Hayley are looking forward to the future of The Royal Oak – and to raising a glass with the people who make Perranwell Station such a special place.

Owner & Manager

Having worked here for so many years, I’ve seen how important The Royal Oak is to the community. Hayley and I are proud to take it on, and we’re excited to carry it forward as a place where everyone feels at home.

Owner

We really wanted to bring the story of the village into the pub,” says Hayley. “The Royal Oak isn’t just a place to eat and drink – it’s a space where people connect, and we wanted the decor to reflect that sense of belonging.
